Aluminum phosphide is a restricted-use fumigant that releases phosphine gas after it is placed inside active gopher burrows and properly sealed. This treatment is highly effective when soil conditions and burrow systems are suitable, but it is not appropriate for every property. Due to strict federal and California regulations, aluminum phosphide can only be applied by properly licensed professionals and only in locations where its use is permitted. Before recommending this treatment, we evaluate the site to ensure it meets all label requirements and safety regulations.
